Meet your specialist desk
Every lot has a named specialist with a direct line. Here is what they do and when to call.
The difference between an auction that works and one that frustrates people is usually not the software. It is whether there is somebody to ring.
What a specialist does
Each lot is assigned to one agent who stays with it from listing to release. They answer condition questions the listing does not cover, chase a history report, confirm when a lot opens, walk a first-time bidder through increments, sort out an invoice and help arrange transport.
When to call
Before you bid, if anything in the file is ambiguous: a photo that raises a question, an unclear title note, mileage that does not match the wear. After a sale, if payment timing or pickup needs coordinating. At any point, if you are new and want someone to explain what happens next.
Why one name instead of a queue
A support queue makes you explain yourself from scratch every time. A named specialist already knows which lot you mean and where you are in the process.
